North West England

Marketing for architecture, engineering and construction practices in the North West

We're based in Preston and work only with this sector: websites, SEO and AI-search visibility that give a referred client the evidence to pick up the phone. Three of our sites are live for practices in Lancashire today.

In short

What we do for North West practices

TradeGrowth Marketing helps architects, structural and MEP engineers, interior designers and construction specialists in the North West of England get more of the right project enquiries. We do it by building the practice a website organised around its projects, making it findable in search and in AI-assisted search, and keeping that current month by month.

We work across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cumbria, remotely, from Preston. The same service is available anywhere in the UK; this page exists because the North West is where we are and where our work so far is.

Key takeaways

  • TradeGrowth Marketing is based in Preston and works only with architecture, engineering and construction businesses.
  • Three websites we built for North West practices are live: an EV charging design consultancy and an M&E consultancy in Burnley, and an architecture practice in Lancashire.
  • Prices are fixed and published: a website at £1,200 or £1,500, then monthly packages from £395.
  • We do not promise rankings, AI mentions or a number of enquiries. We guarantee what we control, in writing.
Where enquiries come from

How does a North West practice actually win work?

Mostly by referral, and then by surviving a quick look online. Research across 523 professional services firms found that more than half of buyers had ruled out a firm they were referred to before ever speaking to it, most often because of the website, the content or not being findable in search (Hinge Research Institute, 2015). That check is the moment our work is built for.

01

Most work arrives by referral

A developer asks an architect who they use for structures. An architect asks a contractor for an M&E consultant. A homeowner asks a neighbour who designed their extension. In this sector the name usually comes from someone else before a search is ever typed.

02

Then the referral checks you out

Before they call, they look you up: your website, a Google search of your name, and increasingly a question to ChatGPT or Google's AI answer. What they find in that minute decides whether the referral turns into an enquiry.

03

That is where enquiries are lost

A site that lists services in three lines and shows no finished projects gives a referred buyer nothing to confirm the recommendation with. The work is good; the evidence is in project folders rather than on the page.

The work

What do you do to bring in project enquiries?

Three things, in order. Each links to the full description on our services page.

The foundation

Website Design

For a practice or consultancy, the website is where a prospective client decides whether you have handled work like theirs before. We build fast, mobile-first sites organised around projects, specialisms and the people doing the work — or fix the one you have, if it's sound underneath.

SEO & AI-Search Visibility

Search still brings the enquiries. But a growing share of the research now happens through AI assistants, which read and summarise rather than list. We work on both, because they share most of the same foundations.

Google & Meta Ads

Search and AI visibility build over months. Ads reach people looking now — but only where people are looking. It's included in the Premium package for residential-facing practices, and we'll say so plainly if your market doesn't have the intent to make it worth running.

It depends who you sell to

Is the work the same for a local practice and a regional consultancy?

No. A practice taking homeowner work around Preston, Chester or Kendal has local search demand to capture. A consultancy selling to developers and contractors across the region has almost none, and is won on evidence and mentions instead.

EV Design, Burnley: what the search results show

Search for EV Design locally and their site comes back first on Google, ahead of national installers. Search wider and Google's AI Overview names them as a North West specialist. Ask ChatGPT who they are and it describes the business accurately. These are visibility results, evidenced by screenshots of live searches. They are not enquiry or revenue figures, and we don't present them as though they were.

What it costs

What does it cost, and what is guaranteed?

Every price is published. A website is £1,200 or £1,500, fixed, and yours outright with the domain in your name. Monthly packages are £395, £595 and £895, each with a 3-month minimum and a month's notice after that. If the site you already have is sound, there is no website fee.

What we don't promise

A ranking, an AI recommendation or a number of enquiries. Nobody controls what Google ranks or what an assistant says, and search is slow: published data shows fewer than two in a hundred new pages reach Google's first page within a year (Ahrefs, 2025). We'd rather you heard that from us on day one.

In writing
  • Month one, or it's free

Every package item scheduled for the first thirty days is live within thirty days of us receiving access, or the first month's package fee is refunded.

  • A launch date in writing

The website goes live within twenty-eight days of your content sign-off, or the balance due on launch is waived.

  • An honest no

If the free audit shows you're already described well, we say so and stop. There is no pitch when the answer is that you don't need us.

  • Leave with everything

After the three-month minimum, a month's notice. Domain, site, reports and research are yours whenever you go.

  • Numbers you can check

Reports quote Search Console totals, never a sum of query rows. Anything that can't be measured is marked as such rather than estimated.

Questions

Questions North West practices ask

No. We work with architecture, engineering and construction businesses across the UK, and everything runs remotely. The North West is where we are based, in Preston, and where the websites we have built so far are, which is why it has its own page.

See what a referral sees when they look you up

The free AI-search audit shows how your practice is described in search and by five AI assistants, benchmarked against one competitor. If you're already in good shape, it says so.
